A Pennsylvania native, Ms. Nispel is a frequent performer in opera and soloist with orchestra. Her repertoire includes a large number of roles, such as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così fan Tutte), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Oscar (Masked Ball), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi) and Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore.

She has appeared with Cleveland Opera as Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi; with Portland Opera as Adele in Die Fledermaus; with Virginia Opera as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, with Des Moines Metro Opera as Gretel, Oscar in Ballo in Maschera, Camela in The Saint of Bleeker Street, Susanna in The Mariage of Figaro and Johanna in Sweeney Todd; with Lyric Opera of Kansas City as Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore; with Toledo Opera as Despina in Così fan Tutte and with Opera Mid-Michigan as Valencienne in Merry Widow. She has also been featured with Kentucky Opera, Dayton Opera and Michigan Opera Theater.

She is frequently heard in recital and with chamber ensembles and she has also appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras, including a most recent Mozart Requiem with the Lansing Symphony; also Carmina Burana with the Long Beach Symphony, and the Mahler Second Symphony with the Virginia Symphony, as well as appearances with the Alabama Symphony and the New England Symphonic Ensemble.
